ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival at the airport or bus station and transfer to the Tour Operator Carlos Expeditions office for our final tour briefing before departing on our adventure. In case you have a lot of luggage, we suggest you to repack to keep the items you don’t need and take what you need for the trip.
Land transfer (4X4) by wheeled van to our destination for about 2 hours to get to the banks of the Tambopata River, if it is by river it will take more than 6 hours (information only). In this place we will take a boat to the lodge «Hacienda Tambopata».
In the afternoon we will take an introductory walk to the rainforest where we will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat such as amphibians, mammals, reptiles and wonderful insects, among others.
Day 2:
We wake up very early, at 4:30 am, to embark on an incredible boat trip to the largest macaw clay lick in the world «EL CHUNCHO», a trip of approximately 1:30 hours by boat, on the way we will have the opportunity to see some species such as capybaras, which is the largest rodent in the world, tapirs, and you can even see the most beautiful South American feline, the jaguar, many of our clients are witnesses with photographic evidence of encounters with these beautiful mammals.
After arrival at the macaw clay lick, you will see hundreds of parrots of different species (11) come to eat clay adjacent to the river on the wall. We will settle into our chairs to wait to begin one of the most beautiful natural bird shows in the world. The parrots are followed by 3 species of the most colorful macaws in America, red and green, blue and yellow come to gather to eat the clay needed in their daily diet and eliminate toxins. On a good day of activity you will see hundreds of these wonderful animals flying overhead. An experience of a lifetime
Return to our lodge and rest time.
-Then we will walk through the botanical garden where you will be able to observe some fruit, timber and medicinal species of our area, accompanied by our guide. Lunch
Our boat will take us to our transportation back to Puerto Maldonado, the same way back, we will return to the city. Arrival to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport.

PRICES
The prices indicated are per person in US dollars. The entrance fee contributes directly to the maintenance of the Tambopata National Reserve by the Peruvian Government.

RESERVAR
To confirm the reservation a payment of U$D 50.00 (Fifty dollars) is required in advance and the balance can be paid before the start of the activity. Payment is subject to our cancellation and refund policy.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations made 31 days or more prior to departure date will be refunded less a 25% administrative fee and cancellations within 30 days prior to departure date will be billed at the full rate. These cancellations will be considered a no show.
No-shows
In the event that you have confirmed your reservation and do not show up at the confirmed transfer location your deposit will not be refunded.
No refunds will be applied in the event of cancellations of air, road, lake, river or trail travel due to changes in airline schedules, bad weather conditions, civil or government strikes, acts of God or government, acts of terrorism, force majeure, criminal activity, or illness. More information
